Ice Fishing

Lucky's Sons ice fishing huts are located about a kilometer out on Lake Simcoe at the mouth of Cooks Bay.

This location gives us great fishing throughout the season so you get your best chance to catch some great jumbo perch, lake trout, pike and whitefish.
We will supply one bucket of minnows per hut (3-4 dozen), transportation to and from shore and a private heated hut. You are required to bring your own fishing equipment (or purchase a fishing stick from us), a fishing license if required and signed waiver

Ice fishing is fun for the whole family.

All of our huts are heated and the customer has control over the temperature.  We advise you to dress in layers and be prepared to take off coats once you're in the hut.

About Our Fishing Huts

Our huts range in size and can fit 2-8 adults comfortably. All have wooden floors and an opening in the floor that leads to the the pre-drilled fishing holes - all you have to do is bait your rod and drop it in.

You are welcome to bring your own lunch or cook in your hut on the stove (BRING YOUR OWN POTS AND PANS).  

We will drop by your hut throughout the day to see how you're doing and help out if needed.

For Beginners

If you're new to ice fishing, here is what you need to do:

Plan to arrive at 8:00 am or anytime after.  Go to the Lucky's Sons meeting spot and you will be greeted by our friendly staff and driven out to your ice hut. Dress in layers.

We will get you settled in, show you how to work the stove, how to bait your line, and start you fishing.

Throughout the day, we will check up on you to see how you are doing and help out as needed.  At the end of the day, we will bring you back to land and help pack your fish for the trip home.

Most of all, have fun, relax, and enjoy your ice fishing adventure!

Reservations are required, please call(705) 456-9039 or submit an online request and let us know how many people are in your party and what day you would like to fish.

Lucky's Sons Meeting spot

There are two different meeting spots depending on ice conditions and where the fish are biting.  Once you have made your reservation our staff will let you know which spot we are currently operating from.  Both meeting spots have free parking available.
